Jared Okoth Ndede popularly known by his stage name Akuku Danger was born and raised in Mombasa, Kenya. He draws his roots back to Oyugis in Rachuonyo District, Homa-Bay County.
Akuku began his music journey in the year 2002 as a hip-hop artist. He started out by releasing three rap songs, 'People Wanna', 'Girigiri' a Luo term meaning What's Yours is Yours and 'Sinyorita Mtoto Mwafrika'.
 
In 2012 Akuku joined The Maroon Commandos in Nairobi as backup artist, switching his style from hip-hop to Benga and Rhumba. He later joined Green Rovers band in Nanyuki barracks where he was the lead vocalist.
 
Akuku Danger was later signed in to Ketebul Music Studio where he recorded an eight-song rhumba album called Herana, My Love.  He has done collaborations with many artists, one of whom is the late legendary Ochieng Nelly, one of the pioneers of Benga music. The two have had various performances at Tree House Restaurant, Choices club and The GoDown Arts Centre, among other places.  
 
Akuku is currently working on his latest album at Ketebul studios. One of his tracks off this album, 'Joy' produced by Nick Abonyo is already in the market, enjoying good reception on the local radio stations. The album will be out in May 2015.
