The African Critics' Award at the 13th Trans-Saharan International Film Festival, Zagora (Morocco), from 2016, 22nd to 26th December, is given by the African Federation of Film Critics (AFFC) Jury to : The Claymen (Original title, in French, Les Hommes d'argile) directed by Mourad Boucif (Morocco).
The African Critics' Award jury comprised of three members, Fatou Kiné Sène (Senegal) president, Abraham Bayili (Burkina Faso) and Rachid Naim (Maroc), appreciated this feature as a "poetic film by its photography", for the "strength of the message" and it's "Lyricism". It is a great tribute to thousands men from Morocco involved in the World War II, at the side of France Army.
