Writer, Wizzy Mangoma is set to launch her 90 minute long movie, 'When the Voice Sings' on Valentine's Day.
The movie will be launched on-line via the Zollywood platform.
Mangoma says that the movie which she produced and directed with the help of Artwell Mukonyora as second director, is a dedication to her late mother who passed on in October 2013.
"This is a must see movie that graced the International Images Film Festival for women last year," said Mangoma to the Zimbo Jam. "The movie is about friendship, love, determination, hope, youth, empowerment, natural beauty and arts appreciation."
"The movie is about a young lady, Mauya, who has come back home after studying in the United States of America. She has no family left in Zimbabwe so she starts a non-profit organisation dedicated to empower young girls and orphans. As that is underway one of the youth links her with her past and things begin to unfold," said Mangoma.
Asked on why the movie will be launched online Mangoma said, "We chose online because I think that the world has gone digital and I am connected to people who support my work around the globe so the best way is sharing the movie with them via an online platform."
"I have big dreams for this movie.
"It has already been shown in the International Film Festival and different festivals from different countries are more than happy to have it.
"After showing it in Zimbabwean cinemas, we will push on having it shown on television in other countries.
"The movie itself is international it caters for both local and international audience," she revealed.
The cast is a mixed bag of veterans and upcoming talent which includes be Eddie Sandifolo, Elscent T Chatsanga, Tinashe Wakapila and Richie Orange.
Speaking on the movie and film industry in Zimbabwe as compared to other countries she has travelled Mangoma had this to said, "Making a movie is quite a challenge regardless of where you are.
"All I can say is Zimbabwean movie markers, actors and anyone behind the scenes should appreciate their work more and once they do that people will take them more seriously. It's all about work ethics, efficiency, time management and structure which is one key element that needs to be really taken into consideration. When that's in place, everything else will follow."
