Al Hadji Moustapha returns from the pilgrimage to Mecca with a transformation that clashes with the practices of some of his neighbours and co-religionists. Attaching more value to appearances than to the moral worth of his fellow men, the blows our pilgrim receives come from the people he trusts most. Will he be able to readjust to a plural society where everyone has their own faith, faults and problems?
