ARNAUD DELAVOIPIERE says "YES dad" (dunun - drums)

YesPapa practical the percussions, drums and African percussions (djembe, dunun) since 1999!
He makes two journeys of learning in Mali of three and four months. His malian teachers are Bwokoroba FADED in the djembe and Foamed KANTE in the dunun.
At first drummer within the group Laura E Family in Paris during four years, he joins then the training(formation) Kanteba (malian traditional music in Paris) with which he occurs during six years. He accompanies the dancing lessons of Karine Barrera and Damisko for four years in the Tarn ( 81 ), participates in numerous animations and occurs regularly on stage.

YesPapa began to play percussions in the street, on banks of the Seine. What attracted him, it was the tribal, federative, popular and eloquent side of the rhythm: " the rhythm speaks to me, I always have a rhythm which turns in my head. " The journeys in Africa were of use to him to go back up at the source of these sensations
" What interests me today, is to suit me these rhythms, to create with the rhythmic inheritance which was bequeathed to me, but also simply free bodies by making them dance, return in trance! "
