Abonga Christopher is an instrumentalist from Gulu, who majors in playing the " Nanga", a traditional Acholi Instrument. He also plays the flute and the "Adungu". Christopher was very honored to be a part of the Silent Voices Production in 2012, which he says, enables him travel to Kampala, the capital city of Uganda and also gave him the platform to play his "Nanga" in the most meaningful space, achieving his dream. He never dreamed he would ever find a space where his skills would be adding so much value. Abonga is a true testimony that disability is not inability. He has not let his blindness limit him in any way. Even while in Gulu, he earns his daily bread from selling eggs and playing his music instruments on top of helping youngsters interested in learning these traditional instruments learn them.
