Jean-Jules Porquet's love affair with the 7th art began in 2010 with renowned producer/director Érico Sery. He began working with Sery as a photographer and then as a cameraman. He then gradually developed his eye for detail. Enthralled by this world, he decided to make it his profession.
From 2012 to 2014, Jean-Jules trained as a director at Studio M Limonest in France. He won his 2nd major role in a Franco-Ivorian series, "Sœurs ennemies". He then went on to do several internships in Canada, Côte d'Ivoire and France, where he worked as a cameraman on several television programmes. At the end of his second year of training, he got his first role as an actor, in the Franco-Ivorian series Rêve sans faim, shot in Brazil, giving him the opportunity to step in front of the camera. In 2015, he directed the sitcom Missié Madale with Ibo Laurent and Isabelle Béké.
In 2019 he will direct the series "Assinie" with Érico Séry. "Un homme à marier" is his very first series as lead director. It's an opportunity for him, at last, to show off all his creative genius.
