Bayimba is a multiple-branched organization that focuses on uplifting arts and culture in Uganda through cultural exchange and creativity. We host high-quality arts festivals, offer training and workshops for aspiring artists, and facilitate creative development. We strive to reach as wide an audience as possible, reaching all age groups and income levels. Bayimba is unique in its multidisciplinary approach combined with its engaging efforts to "explore and experience".

Bayimba recognises the relevance of arts and culture in social and economic development as well as individual human development. Its vision is a vibrant arts and culture sector that is professional, creative and viable and contributes to social and economic development in Uganda and East Africa. Bayimba is therefore dedicated to contribute to making Uganda a significant hub for arts and culture on the African continent and led by its values of respect, shared leadership, transparency, accountability, learning, and collaboration.

Mission:
To uplift arts and culture (specifically visual and performing arts) in Uganda and East Africa by stimulating original intra- and interdisciplinary cultural exchange andcreativity.

Objectives:
To increase awareness about the important role that arts and culture play in societal development; To increase access to artistic and cultural activities in Uganda; To provide platforms and develop sustainable structures for artistic and creative development and exposure of Ugandan artistes; and To strengthen the Bayimba brand and ensure that Bayimba is a sustainable and well-respected organisation with solid governance, management and implementation structures.

From 2012 to 2015, Bayimba is the Southplanet network's partner for the music sector in Uganda.
