The L'Harmattan Group was built around the French publishing house L'Harmattan, created by Denis Pryen and Robert Ageneau in 1975. It takes its name from the wind of West Africa, the harmattan.
Led since 2010 by Xavier Pryen, the Harmattan is an independent publishing house founded around universal values, sharing knowledge through books, in all its forms, being at the service of research to help social transformation, and contribute to the emergence of French-speaking authors. A position that, almost 50 years later, still determines our editorial choices every day.
