A solo exhibition of works by CLINTON KIRKPATRICK created over the last two and a half years in response to the artists time spent in Kenya.

Opening reception - Saturday 3rd May at 2pm. All welcome

Feel free to invite others to this event

Clinton Kirkpatrick first visited Kenya in April 2011 and then returned to work solely as an artist in October 2012. Each experience of the place, people and culture was then translated into painting and, after 2012, woodcut printmaking. Both painting and printmaking will be represented in the exhibition in the Creativity Gallery at the Nairobi Museum.

Clinton's work explores place, time, identity and journey. Kenya became a fundamental part of the development of Clinton as an artist and it has greatly shaped the artist he is today. His work appears vibrant and strong to draw you in and he has an acute love of colour.

Everyone is welcome to visit the exhibition both on the opening day and throughout the month of May 2014.
