The Sidis are a community of Africans who travelled from different parts of Africa to India over 500 centuries ago and settled in various places around the country.
Their descendants are now totally integrated Indian citizens, but can be distinguished by their features, their musical drumming and their belief systems.
This twenty minute documentary provides first hand information on the Siddi's difficult lifestyle and focuses on the education system and the future of their children.
Following the film Zarina Patel will give a presentation and answer questions about the Sidis.
