After a very successful first edition, the Fabienne Colas Foundation (FCF) is pleased to announce the second edition of Haiti on Fire?an evening of shows and movies under the stars?on Friday, July 11, 2008 from 6:30 p.m to 10:30 p.m at Théâtre de Verdure in Lafontaine Park, Montreal.

As part of the Montreal International Haitian Film Festival or MIHFF, Haiti on Fire is the only event of its kind organized by the Fabienne Colas Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and promoting Haitian cinema, art and culture both here and abroad.

Haiti on Fire will showcase Haiti in all its diversity, its splendour and its cultural richness with an "all-in-one" program designed especially for this unique event. Outdoor cinema, folk dancing, music, crafts, Haitian cuisine, but above all, camaraderie, new discoveries, entertainment, sharing and interculturalism: a major event dedicated to Haitian culture!

In July of last year, more than 2,000 people of many different nationalities and all ages came out to the first edition of Haiti on Fire, presented by Loto-Québec, to experience or discover Haitian culture. The evening boasted a magnificent, highly colourful show under the artistic coordination of Sara Renélik, as well as the film L'Homme sur les Quais by Raoul Peck and the many flavours of authentic Haitian cuisine. Standing ovations were certainly not lacking that night!

Everyone who had a taste of Haiti on Fire will want to relive the experience this year. For everyone else, Haiti on Fire has proven to be a date not to be missed!
