Out in Africa SA Gay & Lesbian Film Festival is delighted to be continuing its partnership with Cape Town Pride.

The premiere of a SINGLE MAN is an invite only event which is being sponsored by Nu Metro. This screening will take place at The Labia on Wednesday 24th February. The Festival run then commences at Nu Metro, V&A Waterfront from Friday, 26th February until Sunday 7th March. 3 Films are on offer and more detailed synopsis can be found on our website:

AND THEN CAME LOLA
USA 2009 70min
Dir: Ellen Seidler and Megan Siler

Inspired by the indie hit Run Lola Run, this lesbian feature's Lola also has three opportunities to get it right…, And Then Came Lola is an action comedy that is part travel-log, part personal journey realised, and completely fun and enticing. Nothing is simple in Lola's world, obstacles conspire against her and she must run and run and run.

BEYOND GAY - The Politics of Pride
Canada 2009 85min
Dir: Bob Christie

Beyond Gay looks at the dynamics of Pride celebrations around the world, dramatically juxtaposing the now relative ease of organising these huge displays of Queer solidarity in both North and South America with the scary and politically loaded protests that mark the Prides of Sri Lanka, Russia and Poland - where state-sanctioned homophobia and violence is the norm. The film reveals the vast spectrum of Pride. Executive Producer, Charlie David, will present this award winning film (Best Documentary - Image + Nation, Montreal 2009) at the Out In Africa Cape Town Pride Film Festival première.

MR RIGHT
UK 2009 95min
Dir: Jacqueline Morris

A hom-rom-com, Mr Right is a flirtatious glimpse into the intimate Soho-based lives of three gorgeous London gay couples through the eyes of their best female friend, Louise. Mr Right is a witty and engrossing trip guide to gay London.
