ABOUT THE LINEUP:
ABENEKO – Afrofusion – 21.00 – 22.00
Isack Peter Abeneko has played an important role as a contemporary dancer and dance choreographer on the Dar es Salaam cultural scene for almost a decade. He has loosely been involved in music as a member of Lumumba Theatre, so it was only a matter of time before we would see him taking centre stage. Through his work as a professional dancer Isack has worked in many different countries, including USA, Germany, Austria, Denmark, Poland, Holland, Spain, South Africa, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Malawi and Mozambique. He has allied himself with some of the best young musicians Dar es Salaam has to offer.

SIKINDE – Muziki wa Dansi – 22.15
DDC Mlimani Park Orchestra is one of the greatest Tanzanian dance bands of all time. Although the group was first formed in 1978 they embody the sound of independence, as the founding members came from the pre independence groups such as Dar es Salaam Jazz Band and the workers union band Ottu Jazz Band, who are still active on the scene. Don't miss this opportunity to see one of Tanzania's greatest orchestras!!

ASHIMBA – Afrofusion - 23.30
Ashimba is a talented singer and songwriters. He has a passion for intricate and complex compositions. His sound borrows from the West African griot traditions fused with his own unique style of guitar playing and traditional Tanzanian music. Tonight marks his first performance since his recent return from a 40-day tour in Denmark and Finland.
