This reportage series examine the aftermath of the abuse and torture at Abu Ghraib on both tortured and torturer. While the media and governments were arguing about the legality and repercussions of the abuse at Abu Ghraib, what was not being covered was the impact on the people involved, and what that revealed about the mindset operating in the prison. The director obtained hundreds of previously unreleased photos and videos showing that the torture at Abu Ghraib was much more widespread than initially thought. There was a huge response worldwide and hundreds of news outlets around the world ran with the story - including interviews with CNN, BBC, Al Jazeera and other major news organisations. As a result of this story, the United States government withdrew their opposition to the ACLU's (American Civil Liberties Union) freedom of information request, and the images were released.
