ARTISTS OF THE BAHAMAS is a documentary film that explores the lives & artistic works of eleven of the seminal visual artists of the Bahamas. The artists are interviewed in their own homes or studios or relevant Bahamian locations & speak of their artistic pursuits, accomplishments & dreams. They display their process by painting, sculpting & creating installations. Their history & roots are shared through on site interviews, still photographs, archival footage & Junkanoo. From their earliest beginnings of galleries & spaces to represent their art, the film follows the passage of a true art movement in the Bahamas. Intercut with images of their works of art, the film stars; Amos Ferguson, Kendal Hanna, Max Taylor, Brent Malone, Eddie Minnis, Dave Smith, Stan Burnside, Jackson Burnside, Antonius Roberts, John Beadle & John Cox.
