A white farmer couple is on the verge of depression following the death of their daughter and the drought in Namibia. Thomas, the husband, takes his goats to the rivers for weeks. While he is away, Rachel welcomes Ray, a black employee of the drought programme. He discovers a groundwater table under the farm and falls in love with Rachel.
