Set in 1994 Rwanda, days before the start of the genocide against the minority Tutsi. Jeanne, 10, a daredevil girl, is searching for her pet goat while her parents worry about the days to come.
On her quest to get her goat back, she is exposed to new realities of ethnic discrimination from her interactions with adults, causing doubt with her best friend, and the world as she knew it.
