For decades, Haitians have fled to the prosperous islands of the Bahamas in search of a better way of life for themselves and their children.
LAKAY, Creole for "Home," is a short documentary that highlights the plight of Haitian immigrants as well as the virtually unknown struggle of their children, who are called Haitian-Bahamians but are, in reality, stateless in the country of their birth.
