Zagora represents the Southern part of Morocco. It is an area in which we can find oases, palm groves and mountains with a Saharan climate. Traditional constructions are made of material provided by nature: soil, stone, palm leaves and reeds, which have enabled the buildings to carry through the years. But now, in order to preserve this region's heritage, the buildings need to be restored which requires specialized and highly qualified workers. The work has to be done in a very short amount of time, as the collecting of dates must be finished before starting the work as well as before the rainy season starts. This work will give a youthful makeover to those small palaces made of plain soil that host souks and parties full of life in its streets.
