Antigua and Barbuda

From Antigua and Barbuda, this band represents high-energy, multiple-influenced, synthesizer-driven soca. Years of backing up popular Montserrat calypsonian "Arrow" and laid the groundwork for their solo debut. Burning Flames has totally dominated the Antigua Carnival from 1985 to now (2008). Their music is influenced by calypso, reggae, funk, zouk and just about every other music genre. Formerly "endless vibration" known for playing more rock and roll than soca, Burning Flames, a soca band made up of brothers and cousins, started out playing background for Calypso Arrow.
