DMP Band is a popular reggae group from the Solomon Islands. It was formed back in 2002 in an informal way and later made records as a group in 2004 with Melanesian Studio.
However, the album was not released and the group moved on to Shefram Studios and ended up releasing singles in both labels: Onetox and Hard Life.
DMP stands for Doorman's Project and was turned down several times by major recording labels but the group pressed on with the dream of one day hitting the charts locally.
They are currently making records with Mangrove Studios in New Caledonia.
