Solomon Islands

The K.V.U Panpipers is a bamboo flute band from Santa Isabel Islands in Solomon Islands. The group was formed in 1996 by 3 communities within the Kouiloko Ward or District, namely Kouiloko, Vavarenitu and Uivri villages of which the initials K.V.U stands for.

The group has participated in both local and international events including the 11th Festival of Pacific Arts (2012) in Solomon Islands and internationally in countries like Singapore (2006), Hawaii (2006), Tahiti (2008) and New Caledonia (2009).

The group is highly energetic in terms of performance through their dance movements accompanied with the the Solomon Islands panpipe music. The group consists of about 18 performers inclusive of both males and females.
