One of the proposed aims of the African Festival Network is to undertake advocacy on behalf of arts festivals and events. To this end, the interim steering committee would like to produce a publication that contains recent studies or papers on the social, economic, cultural or other impact of any festival on the African continent. Should you be aware of such studies, or should any festival have such studies, please send them to, or alert Dounia Benslimane benslimane@gmail.com as soon as possible, or by 14 March 2012 at the latest.
