Several celebrities and friends of the late Fennec Okyere converged on Thursday, March 20 at his Manet Gardens residence off the Spintex Road in Accra for the one-week commemoration of his death.
At the ceremony, BEATWAVES gathered that preparations have been made to give Fennec a befitting burial on Saturday, April 26. He would be laid in state on Friday, April 25 for his family, friends and associates to pay their last respects.
The late Fennec Okyere was brutally killed at his residence by unknown assailants who broke into his house on March 13. Until his untimely death, he was the manager of the controversial hiplife artiste, Kwaw Kese also known as Abodam.
A number of celebrities, including friends of Fennec Okyere, who were spotted at the ceremony, which attracted a large number of people, included Abeiku Santana, Sarkodie, Pope Skinny, Keche, Mikki Osei Berko, DJ Black, Kwaw Kese, Tony Pun, and Panji Anoff, DJ Perfeckt and a host of others.
Some of the celebrities in a chat with BEATWAVES said Fennec Okyere was a man who showed drive, imagination and positive thinking in all his endeavours and he showed a great deal of interest in music.
