Cultural Coordinator at GZK/ UGCS The Goethe-Zentrum Kampala/ Ugandan German Cultural Society is looking for a experienced Cultural Coordinator for the Cultural Department at the latest from 19th January 2015.

Job Description:
- Planning and budgeting the annual programme (in close cooperation with the director)
- Programming, organizing and executing regular events:
- Autonomous supervision and evaluation of programme
- Cooperation with partner organizations, service providers and artists
- Budgeting and Accountability of events
- Organization and coordination of projects:
- Autonomous supervision and evaluation of projects
- Cooperation and with partner organizations, service providers and artists
- Budgeting and Accountability of projects
- Mentoring of artists
- Fostering and extending the network of artists and partners maintained by the Goethe-Zentrum Kampala/ Ugandan German Cultural Society
- Implementation of Public Relations (Website, Social Media, Print) and marketing strategies
- Documentation and Archiving of Cultural Programme
- Supervision of Volunteers/ Interns
- Fundraising (in close cooperation with the director)
- Assist the management of GZK/ UGCS in any other arising matters

Requirements and qualifications:
- Interest in cultural productions and project management
- Knowledge about contemporary art and culture in Africa (especially Uganda)
- Professional experience in cultural sector and project management
- Completed studies in Cultural Studies, Project Management or other related disciplines are preferable
- High personal motivation, efficiency and commitment for autonomous project work
- Flexibility in planning and executing projects and willingness to work in the evenings and on weekends
- Strategic thinking and acting
- Elaborated communicative and diplomatic skills (PR and Marketing)
- Experience in fundraising are preferable
- Reliability, accuracy, openness and team skills
- Profound knowledge in Microsoft-Office and basic skills in Adobe-Suites (not mandatory)
- Profound knowledge of English language (in word and writing), basic knowledge of German language or willingness to study are preferable

The work conditions and remuneration are based on the Ugandan labour legislation (local employment).
