A-KWANDIES (pronounced "Hey Kwandies!") draws its inspiration from the Kwandies Sessions, a play illustrated by actors, dancers and singers created in 2010 at L'Haÿ-les-Roses (Val de Marne).

Enthusiastic about the idea of launching a production studio recalling the meeting of these artists from different cultural backgrounds, A- KWANDIES advocates the diversity of French society, its originality, its living together in a joyful and festive multiculturalism.

Who's behind A-KWANDIES?
Born in Cameroon, Florence Elomo Akoa arrived in France at the age of 5. From this dual identity (African and European), she drew a cultural richness which led her very early to take an interest in other cultures.

In 2004, she decided to pursue her university degree in Québec (Canada) where she was awarded a Master I in journalism and international relations at Laval University. This international course allows him to work alongside international journalists based in Washington, New York at the United Nations, at the European Commission in Brussels and finally at the Centre d'accueil de la presse étranger in Paris.

Back in Paris in 2007, she worked as a journalist before joining Euronews in 2011 as an associate of the President of the television channel. While working at Euronews, Florence is seeking to expand her professional skills. This is how she awarded a Master 2 in Audiovisual Law and Management with the Institut National Audiovisuel (INA) and the University of the Sorbonne Paris 1 in 2013.

In addition to her professional activities, she created with her brother the theatre troupe Sessions Kwandies in 2010. With her experience at Euronews, in June 2014, she created her first company Akoa Productions in order to develop her numerous film and audiovisual projects.

In September 2018, she decided to combine all her skills within her new A-Kwandies structure (pronounced Hey Kwandies!) to broaden her production horizon.
