Our philosophy?
La Compagnie des Taxi-Brousse, based in Paris, is one of the ten leading French independent production companies, and produces contemporary, original concepts for audiences world-wide.
It was founded in 1991 and it is now directed by Laurent Mini, Maurice Ribière and Karim Samaï.La Compagnie des Taxi-Brousse focuses on producing thoughtful, innovative and challenging yet highly accessible programs for television. Our projects are essentially documentaries, series, and magazines. Editorial choices are above all guided by the encounters we make, an impassioned outlook and our criterion is the distinctive quality of the projects.
We have produced more than 325 documentaries, including a weekly series about prehistory and earth sciences. Its programs are aimed at the international market.
La Compagnie des Taxi-Brousse has developed a strong experience in science, human adventures, art and history films. Compelling stories and cinematic vision is our philosophy, but we also focus on creating original, off-beat content which may combine fiction, documentary and multimedia technologies.
Our dedication to quality has allowed us to build strong relationships with French and international broadcasters, including : Arte, France 2, France 3, France 5, RFO, RAI, CBC, Société Radio Canada, Canadian Broadcast Corporation, History Channel, Planète, BBC, Canal+, NHK, NOVA-WGBH, RTBF, SSR, ERT, Teleacnot, Télé-Québec, TVO-TFO, the Discovery Channel...
Nominated five times at the Best French TV Producer Award, La Compagnie des Taxi-Brousse received the Jury's Price in 2003.
