The Italian Institute of Culture in Nairobi, official body of the Italian State, has as its objective the promotion and propagation of the Italian language and culture in Kenya through the organization of cultural events to facilitate the circulation of ideas, arts and sciences.

The Italian Institute of Culture offers the Kenyan public the following services:


Italian language courses conducted by qualified lecturers
two annual exam sessions to obtain the Diploma in Knowledge of Italian Language as a Foreign Language
an Italian Library at the students' and members' disposal, consultation and lending of Italian books, CD's, DVD's, magazines and newspapers
Services of information and documentation on Italy in the cultural field
For concert-type events, some art exhibitions and some other events, the Institute collaborates with:

Local art and museum-related institutions such as the Cultural Department (of the Kenyan Ministry for Culture), National Museums of Kenya, Sarakasi Trust, Go-Down Arts Centre, Kuona Trust, Alliance Francaise and Goethe Institut
Theatres such as the Kenya National Theatre, Braeburn Theatre, Phoenix Theatre and Louis Leakey Memorial Hall.
an important foundation in the country: the Gallmann Memorial Foundation

- From Monday to Thursday from 09.30am to 1.00pm and from 02.30pm to 04.00pm
- Fridays from 09.30am to 02.00pm


Library:

- Monday and Wednesday from 09.30am to 04.00pm.
- Tuesday and Thursday from 09.30am alle 05.00pm.
- Friday from 09.30am alle 04.00pm
