Kawai's gallery is an online gallery featuring the work of Kawaiwan Yaipupu.

Coming from the Enga Province of Papua New Guinea and being one of the few women in this beautiful country who has the privilege of showcasing her art. Kawai is compelled to say that most of her paintings articulate her feminist views of every day issues affecting women in her society both in the modern and traditional context.

In collaboration with that, her paintings portray expressions of cultural identify and also depicts a need to make a difference in society through this medium. However she believes, that her art is a yardstick of her personal view of what is happening around her and infused with her passion for her paintings.

Kawawi sees Papua New Guinea as a beautiful and colourful country and as an artist believes that she is inspired to greater heights to be enthused into what she is drawing in her paintings.

She believes that every artist in this land paint their own nature into his or her own pictures, and the beauty emanating from these various pieces of art is a clear expression of how each artist views this exquisite and diverse country.
