In 1998, in Rennes, Vivement Lundi ! begins to cultivate flowers in clay and paper and to build castles in the air of Brittany. The same year, L'Homme aux bras ballants a short by Laurent Gorgiard won the special Prize of the jury to Annecy's Animation Film Festival, so inaugurating a production of short movies and series which accumulates this day more than 200 national and international awards.
Since 2009, the animation department is co-directed by Jean -François Le Corre and Mathieu Courtois who attempt to produce and to coproduce original works in 2D animation and in stop motion. Aurélie Angebault is in charge of new media and animated documentaries production.
In 2011, the company produced Pok&Mok, its first long animated series (78 x 7') and won a prestigious French award : the Procirep Prize for the best French TV producer, Animation category. Regularly involved in coproduction with Belgium and Switzerland, Vivement Lundi ! is proud to be coproducer of the short Belgian animated film Oh Willy... awarded with the Cartoon d'Or 2012.
In 2014, Vivement Lundi ! produced for France Télévisions, VRT and SSR the stopmotion series Dimitri (1 x 26' + 26 x 5') which has already been sold to 15 countries and awarded at OAIF Ottawa and Anima Brussels. A few months later, the company delivered Welcome to Bric-and-Broc, a 39 x 7' 2D pre-school animated series for Canal+.
In 2015, Storm hits jacket by Paul Cabon won the jury's prize for the Best animated short at Sundance Film Festival, Of shadows and wings by Elice Meng and Eleonora Marinoniwas awarded two times at Locarno International Film Festival and the company received the Cartoon Tribute for Best European animation producer.
