Dorine Mokha (DRC) 

is an artist born in 1989 in Lubumbashi, dancer and choreographer and very invested by writing and directing.
Self-taught since 2001, his curiosity led him to the discovery of contemporary dance in 2006. 

Settling in 2009 in Kisangani, he followed in the Studios KABAKO several training courses in contemporary dance and research residencies, directed by other recognized choreographers such as Hafiz Dhaou (Tunisia), Faustin Linyekula and Grandpa Ebotani artists (RD Congo), Ula Sickle (Canada / Belgium), Andreya Ouamba (Senegal / Congo), Clara Bauer (Argentina / France), Boyzie Cekwana (South Africa), Sylvain Prunenec (France), Stone Edjabe ... 

And was introduced to aerial techniques in dance by The collective Slovaks (Slovakia) to the French institute Kinshasa, playwriting with writer-comedian Grandpa Mbwiti and cinema with director Moses Lomande (DR Congo) to the Espace culturel Ngoma. 

In addition, he has participated in several international conferences and discussions of the performing arts: in Kinshasa (Festival Connecting KVS Brussels) and Hanover (Festival Theaterformen / Hannover) using the "International Academy" program in 2013, and Mannheim ("International camp" festival Theater der Welt) in Berlin ("TURN-meeting") in Darmstadt ("Thinking Together" of OSTHANG Project) and for Essen ("International Ruhrtriennale camp") through "Solitude in Africa" program in 2014. 

  He holds a bachelor of  literature section (2008) and a Masters in Economic and Social department of falulty of Law (2013) with a thesis on the "Problems of protection of intellectual property from the ICT in the DRC case of musical works", Dorine was awarded the "Excellence Award Zengwei" by the University of Kisangani. 

In his country, Dorine was also honored with two patents of merit in 2009 and 2010 in Kisangani, among which that of "contemporary dancer-choreographer of the Year", and the "3rd prize of festival des courts métrages de Lubumbashi" thanks to his promotional video for his solo "Entre deux...". Into the intertional scale, I was awarded by the fellowship of the special program "Africa in solitude" of the Akademie Scholss Solitude (Germany), funded by the Kulturstiftung Des Bundes in 2013. 

As creations: the duet "Reclus" with Papsher Kikuni (2011), his solo "Entre deux..." (2013), presented as the premiere in the 4th edition of ConnexionKin festival, and the trio "Undergound" (WIP) already presented in Kisangani and Lubumbashi after two research residencies in Studios Kabako and in Centre d'art Picha. 

But there's also notable collective creations such as "HERE YES NO MAYBE THERE" (2014) with choreographers and Desire Davids Manekhela Thami (South Africa) and the set designer Marwen Abouda (Tunisia), and "Sans TITRE" (WIP / 2015) with Desire Davids and French pianist Nicolas Mondon. 

He also worked alongside Faustin Linyekula as assistant to the staging of "Drums and Digging" in 2013, and this year, he has been written the texts of the last creation dance/theater of the choreographer Papy Ebotani "Fanfares Funéraires", and invited by the Brazilian choreographer Machado Neto as performer and storyteller in "Let me Tell you something ..." on Herman Library at Stuttgart, and by in the Congolese artist Christian Botale in Strasbourg for staging and texts of "KOK LAT VIL." 

Today with several texts unpublished and all texts written for projects Dance / Theatre in which he worked and/or collaborated, and various musical projects, Dorine was started last September the development of the "one of his most important projects" as he said, the publication of his first novel.
