Amsterdam native Alexandra Jansse grew up in France and in the Dutch Caribbean. She has worked with members of the British Film Institute and Cuba's ICAIC to establish the Federation of Caribbean Film and Video Professionals, and been involved in the development of film festivals in Curaçao and Aruba, among other places. Included in her film credits is A Dollar a Day, a poignant six-part international documentaries series that shows what it means to live under the poverty line.
