Born in Kazakhstan in 1983, director and founder of the Almaty-based production company 567 Creative Laboratory Studio. He has directed 16 films, many of which have been box-office hits. He has also written the scripts for ten films and produced four. Baqyt was selected for the Berlinale 2022 in the Panorama section where he won the Audience Award.
