Born in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, U.S., Corey Breneisen moved to Jamaica in 2010. Art was not her first choice as she graduated in 1998 with a B.A. in the Liberal Arts from William Smith College, Geneva, NY (magna cum laude). She later studied art at the Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY, gaining her M.F.A. in 2003. She lives and works in Kingston, Jamaica, W.I.
