David Sieveking was born 1977 in Germany. After finishing school he starts working as an editor for television and realizes several short films and documentations. Since 2000 he is working as an actor and assistant director for cinema and TV. In 2003 he studies directing at the German Film- and Television Academy Berlin and takes part in the „Talent Campus"at the Berlinale Film Festival. In 2004 his episode for the feature film ASYLUM is screened in public television. In 2005 his short film THE AMERICAN EMBASSY is showed at the Cannes Film Festival and wins two up-and-coming awards. In 2007, his diploma film SENEGALLEMAND is premiered at the International Film Festival Munich. 2010 the cinema release of his debut film DAVID WANTS TO FLY is planned.

Ab 2000 arbeitet er als Regie-Assistent und Darsteller für Kino und Fern-sehen. 2003 ist er Regiestudent an der Deutschen Film-Fernsehakademie Berlin und nimmt am „Talent-Campus"der Berlinale teil. 2004 wird seine Episode für den Spielfilm ASYL auf 3-Sat ausgestrahlt. 2005 läuft sein Kurzfilm DIE AMERIKANISCHE BOTSCHAFT beim Filmfest in Cannes und gewinnt zwei Nachwuchspreise. 2007 feiert sein Abschluss-film SENEGALLEMAND beim Internationalen Filmfest München Premiere. 2010 ist der Kinostart seines Debütfilms DAVID WANTS TO FLY geplant.
