Senegalese filmmaker, screenwriter, actor and designer.
He is sometimes credited as
Demba DIA
Different from the Late musician & singer Demba Dia.
El Hadji Demba DIA (El Hadji Demba Dia) is a film director, screenwriter, actor and stylist.
He is known for his short film "J'existe".
Trained through various film workshops, including one by the Goethe institut in Dakar, he has directed several documentaries. He has his own brand of printing on t-shirts.
"J'existe" won in Yaoundé, the Ambassador of the feminine cause Award, in June 2016 at the festival "MIS me Binga" and was nominated at the Tangier African Film Festival (Morocco) from December 14 to 17, 2016.
His documentary "Le temps de dire non" (2020) represents Senegal at the 2021 Clap Ivoire festival (Abidjan, Ivory Coast).
