A Sundance-winning producer and BAFTA nominee with a decade of experience, she was the first Nigerian woman to produce a film officially selected at the Cannes Film Festival, where MY FATHER'S SHADOW (UN JOUR AVEC MON PÈRE) received a 2025 Caméra d'Or Special Mention. With a background in law, Funmbi is focused on building the ecosystem behind the screen, nurturing homegrown talent and architecting new possibilities for Africa's creative industries.
She is one of the founders of Fatherland Productions company (Lagos, Nigeria).
