Moroccan doctor-psychiatrist and film producer.

A native of Morocco, Ghita EL KHAYAT was a trained medical doctor before specializing as a doctor-psychiatrist. She is passionate about Latin, literature, philosophy, drawing and painting. She is also a journalist and author of over 150 scientific and artistic articles and has written many books on women's plight in the Arab-Islamic world. She taught, toured the world and gave lectures in a large number of countries. She now dedicates herself to the practice of psychiatry and psychoanalysis, art critique, fiction and poetry, while lecturing Knowledge Anthropology at the University of Chieti in Italy. In addition to authoring 36 books, she contributed in about twenty collective works. Ghita was Radio-TV-Cinema content producer and president of the 3rd National Film Festival of Meknes (Morocco).
In March 2019, she was Member of the Feature film jury at 26th FESPACO, Ouaga, Burkina Faso.
