Born and raised in New York, Giovanni Zelko graduated in film from Boston University where he was admitted on a scholarship following his early film, Bloodline. At university he made My Shadow, helping him earn an internship at the Roger Corman Studios in Los Angeles. After participating in many productions, he decided to make his own directorial debut in THE ALGERIAN (2014).
