Karen has worked in film, theatre, and television for over 20 years. She started out as a producer in the New York City theatre community before switching to television producing with WNBC-TV. She continued her television career in Los Angeles until she left the States and joined her husband (Mfundi Vundla) in South Africa where she started work at SABC -TV. Karen produced over 15 programs for SABC before starting her own company, Nala Productions. Karen's first film was, In My Country, starring Samuel L Jackson and Juliette Binoche. She then went on to produce, The Breed, which was executive produced by Wes Craven. Karen is a graduate of Columbia University's School of the Arts.
