Jean-Michel LOUTOBY (Jean-Michel Delphin LOUTOBY) is a Martinican screenwriter and director known for a cinematic approach rooted in social and human reality. Passionate about image and storytelling, he uses cinema as a tool for reflection and emancipation, exploring themes like identity, family transmission, and resilience.
From his early projects, he embraced engaged cinema where fiction reflects real societal issues. Drawing inspiration from the world around him, he aims to capture generational tensions and imposed life choices with authenticity.
His immersive process includes meeting young people in difficulty, social workers, and families, giving voice to those rarely heard and creating emotionally resonant characters.
