MUSIC COMPOSER

Martin Romberg studied composition with Michael Jarrell and film music with Klaus Peter Sattler at the University of Music in Vienna, Austria. As a film composer Romberg has written music for short films such as Roland Zumbühl's Sterntaler and Mikkel Blaaberg Poulsen's Lille Løgn, which was nominated for the Danish National Awards ("Robert") for best short film, as well as for documentaries such as Todsünde Neid for the Austrian television station ORF and the German station SAT3.

His involvement with "Changing Faces" was instigated by the movie's Editor Karen who introduced him to Faruk. The rest as they say is history. He was very dedicated to this project and particularly liked the Director's professionalism. He liked that he was allowed to bring in his own creativity into the movie and not work produce a dictated piece as is the case with most European Directors. Martin believes this was the main reason why his job was done with minimal hitches.

Martin's work with "Changing Faces" is far from over as he has now taken over the role of distributing the movie's soundtrack. Other than that, he is currently working on a large symphonic poem for saxophone and orchestra, commissioned by the by the Norwegian saxophonist Ola Asdahl Rokkones.
