Dr. Michael Muhuumuza is a Lecturer of Drama at Makerere University's Performing Arts and Film Department. He is also the Director of MOMO Talents and Uganda Theatre Heritage based in Kampala Uganda. When it comes to the arts, Micheal is a Producer, Director and Stage Manager. He is also a theatre critic.
He has researched and presented a number of papers at various conference. Some of the paper titiles include: "The Challenges of Planting Ideas Using Theatre: A Case Study from Uganda", A Paper presented at the 6th IDEA Congress in Hong Kong, 16-22 July, 2007 and published in IDEA congress Publication,  "The ABCs of Scenic Design" "Production for Theatre Practitioners",  'Towards A Vibrant Theatre Industry: Challenges And Prospects" A paper presented to participants at the 3rd EATI Regional Theatre Festival in Mombasa from 22nd –28th November 2004, "Perspectives of Theatre in Uganda" in Uganda: The Golden Pearl of Africa, an E-Book edited by Susan Batye and Dr. Mercy Mirembe Ntangaare, 2005.
At a community level Micheal has also served in the various capacities:
Board Member (General Secretary), Uganda Theatre Network,  Engagement in a campaign to promote study and performance of literature and professional theatre by production of literature set texts for "O" and "A" level, Facilitation of Theatre Skills Improvement among theatre Artists and theatre groups in Theatre Skills Training Workshops in Uganda, Adjudication of Music, Dance and Drama festivals for primary, secondary and cultural galas for tertiary institutions , General Secretary, Makerere University Red Cross Branch, Secretary for Culture and Entertainment, Kitara Students' Association (KISA), among others. 
Currently Michael is the State Minister for Arts, Culture and Entertainment in the National Fellowship Born again Churches, there by supporting Gospel artists in Uganda.
