Born in Kinshasa, in Democratic Republic of the Congo, in 1980, Moridja Kitenge Banza is graduated in Plastic arts of the Academy of Arts of Kinshasa.

Having taught during one year the School of the Beaux- arts of Lubumbashi, in 2003 he pursues his studies in art at the Regional School of the Beaux- arts of Nantes in France, where he obtained in 2008 the Upper National Diploma of Plastic Expression (at the end of his studies).

He participates in several national and international exhibitions, " variable Geometry " to the French cultural center of Phnum Penh in Cambodia, "Popisme" in "le Lieu Unique" in Nantes, " Safety, Quality, Precision, Innovation, Modernity " in the abbey of Ronceray in Angers...


His work is a current construction site. Moridja Kitenge Banza accumulates materials being of use to him to build its own identity, registered within a family-world, taking responsibility to free himself from it better, Edward Saïd's words (in " Culture and imperialism "), according to whom the identities do not exist and are only imaginary constructions. Réappropriant the codes of the cultural, political or social representations, he reinvents a universe denying any datum geographical as identical process, that one even used by the ancient colonists to lock the natives and deprive them of the freedom to invent themselves. Moridja Kitenge Banza makes his own tools to invest better the territory of other one so asserting the relevance of its own peculiarity. Drawing from the current or ancient realities, he organizes, assembles, draws figures, such a land surveyor, being equipped with measuring instruments of this house-world which he wishes to build in his usageand to that of the others.
