Muhammed HAMDY is a Director of Photography, Producer, Film Director and screenwriter.

He is kown for PERFUMED WITH MINT - PARFUMÉ À LA MENTHE (2024 | DoP, Director, Screenwriter), "The Square" (2013), "We Are the Giant" (2014), "Olmo & The Seagull" (2015).


Muhammed Hamdy is an Emmy Award-winning cinematographer from
Cairo. Hamdy studied filmmaking at New York Film Academy. He shot and co-produced the Oscar-nominated feature documentary "The Square" (2013) which premiered at Sundance IFF where it won the Audience Award for World Cinema. The film also won the People's Choice Award at Toronto IFF and three Primetime Emmy awards among many others. Hamdy also shot "We are the Giants" (2014), "The Trials of Spring" (2015) and "Olmo & The Seagull" (2015), which won the Best Nordic Dox Award at CPH:DOX. "Perfumed with Mint" (2024) written and directed by Hamdy is his feature debut.
