Paul Ndema was born in 1979 in Bushenyi Uganda. He studied at Margaret Trowell School of Industrial and Fine Arts, Makerere University.

Ndema's mixed-media style is highly ornamental and distinguished from his peers through the use of traditional Ugandan totems as a foundation to create contemporary paintings on canvas.

Ndema is an artist who is pre-occupied with tradition and change. His works are popular for their vibrant African Motif-style compositions that suggests an exploration of the interface that bounds Traditional and Contemporary African Art.

He has a number of successful solo and joint exhibitions to his credit.
