South African journalist and filmmaker.
Pearlie JOUBERT is a respected South African investigative journalist. She began her career in 1989 at an anti-apartheid Afrikaans newspaper and later worked for ITV, Channel 4, Sky News, and the BBC. She currently leads the "Bertha Challenge", a global fellowship for journalists and activists.
She co-directed "Mother City" (2024, feature documentary), a six years in the making, along with Miki Redelinghuys.
