Pedro Pombo has a PhD in Anthropology at ISCTE - IUL, Lisbon, on senses of belonging, place and history.
After graduating in Design and Decorative Arts, at ESAD-FRESS, Lisbon, he post-graduated in Art History at FCSH-Universidade Nova de Lisboa, and received formation in Intangible heritage, by UNESCO Commission in Brazil. He has lectured a course on Heritage Interpretation, in ESAD-FRESS, Lisbon. His research and professional interests cross academic boundaries, linking spatial studies, cultural and architectural heritage with anthropology and ethnographic research.
He was engaged in long term ethnographic research in Southern Mozambique and in Goa, India.
He has been visiting scholar at Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar, India, in early 2015.
He now prepares his post-doc in Gujarat, India.
