Amazing Ugandan actress, writer, film director, stage director and producer.

Rehema NANFUKA was born on May 25th, 1985, in Jinja, Uganda.
She is an actress, known for Imani (directed by Caroline Kamya, 2010), Imbabazi (2013), Imperial Blue (2018) and Queen of Katwe (2016), among other films.
Rehema went to Kibuli Secondary School, then Makerere University, Uganda's oldest university where she obtained a degree in International Business. She is also an alumna of Maisha Film Lab.

With no intentions of becoming a film actress, Rehema veered into the IMANI auditions accidentally. Rehema explains that she was only meeting a friend at the National Theater when she decided to audition. A natural in front of the camera, it comes as no surprise she has always had dreams of becoming a television newscaster. She is also highly interested in marketing, and is soon to graduate from Makerere University with a degree in international business. She cites her other hobbies as reading and writing. She believes the IMANI production has been revealing and very different from any other production she has worked on; in comparison more professional. She is glad to have taken part in the feature and is even happier that this film will definitely set a mark in the still growing Ugandan film industry.

She plays "Mary" in IMANI (Caroline Kamya, 2010). She won the Best Actress Award at Tarifa International Film festival 2010, Spain and the Most promising Actress AMAA at 2010 Africa Movie Academy Awards.
Rehema starred as Suzanna in Yat Madit in 2016 alongside Gladys Oyenbot and Michael Wawuyo Jr.. For this role, she won the award for Best actress TV at the Uganda Film Festival in 2017.
Rehema NANFUKA successfully written and produced the short films, "Breaking Beats" and "Haunted Souls" which has so far been shown at the Zanzibar international film festival and is in the official selection Durban International film festival.
She directed the short films 5 Yogera shorts (2018, and as writer) and 4G Spirit (2013)
